Provide Shade

  • Trees – Silvopasture
  • Outbuilding with good ventilation

Water Access

  • Animals should always have access to water clean water when they need it.

Airflow

  • Fans for small livestock

Cooling Methods

  • Frozen water bottles
  • Ceramic tiles
  • Sprinkler systems
  • Different ways for various animals – Examples- Pigs (mud), Sheep and Alpacas (sheering), LGDs actually need that long hair and double coat
  • Chose a breed for your area
  • Animal color
  • Reduce activity
  • Longer grasses actually cool the earth, so putting animals on longer grass in the shade can be really helpful
