Question from The Homestead Front Porch:

Tim asks:

Herbicides on hay?

I found some brome hay on marketplace locally and reached out asking if they use herbicides and was told they use a pre-emergent called duracor. They mixed it with their fertilizer in the spring.

I’d prefer to not have it used but I don’t know anything about it and it’s hard to find anything online. Does anyone have any experience with this?
